Talking Help Me Lost .......Body Swap

ok i have a 94 f-150 Standard cab Short Box Pick up its a 4x4 with a 300- inline in it.... and a 5 speed.... now my big question is..... has anyone put a extended cab on a standard cab frame and made a shorty box to go on it.... ive measured it... and its close... definatly something where if i run big tires.. it will rub the back of the cab.... but with 31's i should be alright ... i was figure worse come to worse.. ill cut and section the bottom of the cab..... so i was wondering has anyone done this... and if so ... did you have to section the cab... to run around a 33" tire..... ??? any ideas... or feed back greatly appreciated

So you have a single cab Long box and want to put a extended cab and short box on your frame?????Would it not be easier to find and extended cab short box with a blown engine and swap your drivetrain to it????????

Kinda like the Exploder SportTrac, huh? Might look slick! If you were closer to NC I have a nice '95 extended cab body you could get ...... cheap!
A quick photo"chop" of my '95.

Just do it man. I think it could go either way. If you half *** it its going to look like crap. If you take your time it will probaly be sweet!!

You can chop the back, alot of offroaders do it to give a better approch/departure angle. i personally would say take the extra time and chop the front looks nicer. it gives it the full size sport trac look.
