I celebrated the new year by burying my stock 250 up to the frame and suffering the disgrace of have a chevy pull me out. so i guess the question is what do i need to fit 37's under my 92 f250. im going to swap in a staight axle before i lift it so any feed back on that would be cool.
I fit 36's on my stock F350. So with a 4" stock F350 block and maybe 2" lift springs up front you should be good. I could fit 37's out back but not up front. The 36's rub on the inner bumper lip, so I cut the lip off and its fine now.
Stock 4" blocks? Did ford really use 4" blocks on the front axle of the f350 dana 60's? Im gona be putting a dana 60 axle in the front also and have been going crazy trin to find 8" leaf springs for the front. but i never really looked close at the axle i have to see if there are blocks up front. if so i could just use 4" springs and the 4" factory blocks? wow that would be great considering that having custom front springs made would put me way over budget!
Lift blocks on a front end??? That sounds like a disaster waiting to happen, the lateral forces involved in turning at speed is why you shouldn't put lift blocks on a front end.
Yeah i agree but from what the other guy was sayin that ford dana 60's came from the factory with blocks? at least thats what i understood. just tryin to find out what the story is.
The F350 has the sterling 10.25 out back with 4" blocks. The front is the dana 60 and no it doesnt have blocks. Blocks up front are not safe. How come your looking for 8" lift springs thats going to make it way 2 high for 37's. F350 front springs just dont sag like the stock F250's.
Yeah i didnt think that ford would have blocks in the front, just the way he had it worded made it seem like that. ive been thinkin bout just doing the 6" and then if i have to adding a longer shackle in the front.
oh the guy with the lift for sale where are you located? Is it a whole kit or just springs and pitman arm? Shocks?
The reason i want to do an 8" is cause he eventually wants to go to 44 boggers so then all we would have to do is some trimming.
