37's

So for graduation my dad is buying me a 05-06 4dr fx4 F150, and he will pay to beef it up about as big as i want. everyone in my frat at auburn has 35's. so naturally i want to get 37's on the new truck. What is the best way to get enough lift to clear 37's. and what else needs to be done, such as steering extensions or regearing?

Welcome to the site.

WOW it must be nice!

This is the off road forum, and some people on here will know what you want, but a lot of people will have done this in the 04-08 F150 forum, and could tell you what they did.
Ok, since I'm passed that, I'll give you some options.
You could do a 6" lift and some cut out fender flares to clear 37s. I know what your going to say... I don't want to cut my fenders. BUT I've seen them on these trucks, and when done right, they look GOOD!
Other option would be 6" lift and a body lift. Since I and everyone else in here hates body lifts, you won't get any support on that one.
For the rear of you lift, what ever you don't, don't get an all block lift. For 2 reasons: 1) axle wrap will be horrable, 2) you already have a stock block, and stacking is dangerous(+ axle wrap). Either get lift springs or some kind of add a leaf shackel combination.

I'm going to assume this will be installed by an off road shop.... so no need to explain instillation.

When you regear(which is needed), get at least 4.56 gears.

While he's paying for everything else, might as well get him to throw a super charger in it, or at least a programmer, exhaust, CAI, and e fans.

The most my dad "gave" to me is: the use of his 77 F100. After I buy me something else, the 77 is back in his yard.
but another way to clear 37s would be to use the 6" lift, with a autospring leveling kit and a add a leaf. There's a couple people in the 04-08 F150 forum that have done just that.
