I have had a hypermax air intake sitting around for several months for my 7.3 non-turbo. I bought it because they were the only company that sold them for my application. Little did I know at the time, that I had to cut my firewall so that it could get the air supply from the cowl area. That wasn't going to happen.
So, a couple of nights ago, I had a little brainstorm.....
Turns out it fits directly where the factory air inlet sits. I just had to shave off the top part of the intake snorkel so it would clear the hood. Now the air doesn't have to make 3 turns to get into the intake.
I should mention that the beautiful dryer hose set me back $9.00 at Lowe's. The hypermax kit gives you very little rubber hose, and it won't make the stretch.
