I have a few questions, I own an 99 F250 extended cab 2wd with a V10. I am wanting to lower and do some rims. If anyone has some links to site or advice that would be great. Thanks and have a great New Year!!
i'd advise going to the "Super Duty/ Heavy Duty" forums as they'll be more helpful. a leaf spring mount flip ( cut leaf spring pad off the axle and weld it to the bottom of the axle so springs will ride under axle) will drop rear about 5-7". The front would be dropped with the usual spring/spindle setup. Why may i ask are you wanting to lower a super duty? your towing capacity will drop to useless levels and imho any truck bigger than a ranger looks stupid lowered and i've owned several lowered vehicles.
why are ya wanting to lower it? to each his own i know, i'm just curious. the newer truck trend has been lifted trucks for 5 or 6 years now, you'll have problems finding lowering kits for that big of truck.
The rear can be done with a axle over spring conversion. You may need to c-notch the frame to accomplish this.
Haven't seen any drop spindles or aftermarket front lowering kits for 2WD trucks, but a set of Shockwaves and a little creative engineering would probably work.
