67 352 harmonic balancer
I need some advice,
I recently had a 67 352 out of an f250 dropped in my 72 f100. The guy who did the work used the harmonic balancer of of the 72 360. I've been told that it is important to keep the original harmonic balancer on the 352. Is this true and what are the problems that can occur? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

from being on here, i learned that they are both the same.
i had a 360, and re-built a 390 and i used the same harmonic balancer; no problems from that.
352-428 are same block just different bore and stroke. all internals are pretty much the same, except for crank, rods and pistons.
but 428cj or 428scj heads are different.

Learned from who? Where? I've never seen one post on FTE (and I read 'em all) that sez the balancers are the same.

The harmonic balancers are NOT the same!
Never have been, never will.
1965/67 F100/350 352 = C3AZ-6312-E / & / 1960/67 Galaxie/Fairlane/Mustang/T-Bird
1968/72 F100/350 360/390 = D2TZ-6316-A
The CORRECT 352 harmonic balancer: C3AZ-6312-E is available NOS (new old stock) from FTE sponsor GREEN SALES = 800-543-4959
Dearbornclassics.com has reproduced the correct harmonic balancer. Catalog: Page 157 / Item # HAB10

The balancers are neutral balance. So there is no issue using another neutral balancer from a later FE block. The later units are better and less prone to slip. You also have more pulley options using the later model one.
