Broken master cyl bolts...

Hi Everyone,
Thought I'd check and see if anyone has had this happen.
I'm new to the superduty thing, and I just bought a 2003 f350 c/c 7.3 4wd. Coming back rom the desert the other day, I go to put the truck in low range, push on the brakes and snapped off both bolts that hold the master cylinder on. I know what your thinking, I pushed too hard but that's not the case, the peddle just went to the floor pushed the cylinder forward and bent the rod from the booster to the master. I can't find a recall on this or am I just not looking hard enough? I managed to straighten the rod and find some bolts to put it back together and made it home ok. I will say that it did kinda scare me with a camper and trailer in tow. So has it happend to you?

Wow, I've never heard of that happening.

Has that truck ever been wrecked?

No, never been wrecked but it sure could have been if I was going down the highway at a faster speed. Not a happy feeling...

I would do some close checking into that truck's history if I were you. That is far from normal.

I know the history of the truck. I bought it from a close friend of mine and I've been around the truck since it was new. I just thought I would check here to see if it has ever happened to anyone.
