My headliner is ripped and falling down pretty bad so im going to do a new one. I was thinking about doing a rebel flag headliner and was wondering what you guys think about that? I would use a real flag and stick it up there with Sprey adheasive. Do you think this would hold up ok? If not what else could i do it with?
Here is a pic of a rebel flag liner i found on internet
That would probably work for a while anyway. You could get headliner material, (fleece), and install it the same way. The thing is ,is that headliner material has a foam backing attached to it, and the flag won't, and I think the foam is petty important in getting a smooth installation. For the best look, you should probably use headliner material, by itself, or under the flag.

ok so your saying use headliner material then put the flag over it?
The problem I see is that the spray adhesive will soak thru the flag and it will look like crap,I tried this with a old door panel on a toyota I had and I was using a 3m product.I need to repair my headliner in my 86 also and right now have big stainless tacks holding it up,Where can you get material with a foam backing?
I'd try local fabric stores, that's what I'm thinking of doing if/when I go to install a new headliner in my truck. Might also be able to buy that stuff from a place that does car interior restorations or maybe National Parts Depot or LMC Truck or some such but the cost is likely gonna be lots higher.
I almost hate to say this as I need to buy some for my wife's car and I don't need the competition on bidding, but it will probably be a while before I buy it anyway, so- knlsales on E-bay Motors. You can get enough for the job for around $20.
