I want to put a little system in my truck (reg cab), nothin crazy just a little something up from stock. Has anyone with a regular cab ever put a system in it or is it too tight of a fit?
It can be done i havent put one in a OBS truck but there should be plenty of room. Might require building a custom sub box and a sitting a little closer to the wheel. If it can be done in a ranger or f150 you can surely do it in a f250 or f350. Build the box yourself and it will work.
i had no room in my old truck for a box behind the seat. being 6'2 i dont have rom to spare. i did however get 6x9's in the rear panels from rockfrod . they were a very nice addition as were the upgrades in the doors. add a nice head unit and its a whole different truck

i know they make boxes for s/c trucks. i think you can find them at crutchfield.com also try asking around in the non-diesel forum for OBS trucks. one of them may have a system and could offer advice.
i got 2 10" Phoenix gold subs behind my seat with a box that i made. the box is only 3" wide at the top and right around 5" at the bottom if i remember right. i built it to try to stay to the angle of the back of the seat. i put 4x6 pioneers in my doors and i put the amp for the subs under the passenger side of the seat. its easy to do if i can do it without messing it up!!! LoL!!!
I just got a 10" sub and the samllest truck box I could find and put it behind my seat. Im not the tallest guy so you could put in the middle or behind the pass seat.
One word ALPINE easy to install and user friendly.Stay away from crazy displays, and definately go the seperate amp route.Run big speaker wire fuse the amp at the battery and at the amp.Good deals on wire and parts at www.knukonceptz.com Happy New Year!! Pike
I mounted my amp and crossovers under my rear seat ,to the seat bottom,in other words upside down.I think a sub box could be made to fit under there.I am eventualy going to put one in center of front seat firing down.
coon, i think that MTX makes a box called the stealth box that is made to go under the back seat of a ford 1/2 ton supercrew. i'm not sure of the difference in the seats between the two, but it might work. i would look into it for sure.
