Seems to be somewhat common on our trucks. Several post in the past have addressed this and as far as I know, no one has figured it out. It is also a problem in the 150s and a search did produce one thread that stated that he fixed his shaking by making Ford replace his axles. Mine shakes at 42-46mph and it is more noticable when I have new tires.
well i will tell ya what, ive had my truck since the end of 03 and the shake is getting pretty annoying, especially if you are allready pissed at something or someone, haha, but its the truth
Do a search using 40mph shake or vibration and look at all the problems. I think mine has maybe gotten worse with time, but, since my tires are close to worn out, I barely notice. Like I said earlier, I really notice it with new tires. I see where you just put tires on a while back. Let me know it you find the cure.

i sure will let you know, i thought the cure for this was to shim the drive shaft support bearing down a 1/4 at a time, but it seems this is only true if you have the shake on acceleration, which i dont. i am gonna keep trying to solve this problem, i got one u joint replaced not too long ago, it was the one by the rear diff, and i have one more extra u joint for the one by the spline that i greased this mornng, maybe i will try and change that out, allthough the guys told me it was fine.
I just remembered something about rotating the drive shaft half a turn to see if that eliminates the vibration. Anyone else ever hear of that? Hmm....maybe your's is out of balance. That would do it too.

i have thought about that but havent gotten to that point yet, i am sure when i bought the truck it never had the shakes, allthough you know how it is when you first get something you are too excited to notice things, at least thats how i was
