I know this has been debated here alot but i am going to be getting a 4" turbo back exhaust and want to know if I should spend the extra on stainless or if going the cheap route will last me? Any input or real life experiences one way or the other will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Well SS better for areas that have alot of salt on the roads during the winter because it won't corrode as bad. But if you don't get alot of snow in your area then the cheaper route will work great, unless you just want to have SS.

I went stainless on mine, why have to screw around with it latter if it does rust.

How many miles on your truck? How long do you plan on keeping it? These are the questions I'd ask myself. SS is pretty much worry free, but if you don't have to worry too much about the salt issue or other corrosive substances and your only going to keep the truck another year or two or three the added cost of the SS might not be worth it. It looks like you've already spent a few bucks on your rig.

If you have the money, I would get the SS. I went with aluminized for lack of funds, but it has served me well for the 3 years I've had it. Living in Iowa it gets it's share of salt, and so far only the clamps have started rusting. I painted them with hi-temp paint to slow it down. I do keep my truck washed often to minimize the affects of salt on the whole truck.

Dennis has a really good price on a 4" stainless kit (ITP DIESEL) He hooked me up, and it went on great. It was right around 320 IIRC. Its a magnaflow.

Thanks for the input! I was really wanting to go aluminized just cause I'm a cheap *** and want to save for more mods, but I do live in Nebraska and they do use salt, and as much as I would like a new truck it's going to be awhile before I can afford that so I guess I'm looking at stainless.
