question

hey guys i was riding tonight and a light on the dash came on...it looks like a gas pump with 3 little drips on the dash does anybody know what this is....thanks for the help

it may be that they water separator is full....not really familiar w/ it myself, but i seen it in the manual....maybe someone her ecan enlighten ya

You need to drain the water out of the frame mounted fuel filter. It is under the drivers side of the truck on the inside of the frame basically under the drivers seat. Your owners manual covers the draining procedure.

my truck didnt have a manual in it does anybody have a procedure on how to do it

First, to download a copy of your owner's guide and deisel supplement go to this website and click on owner's guides, then click on the year, make and which guide you want.

The stock drain plug has a tendency to get stripped out, many of us have upgraded to the newer style one from either Ford or International Harvester. The part numbers for it are:
