Ok, so today went to the Circle drive location, first I was talking to a reject of nature, but finally Jim ( the smart one) started to help me. So anyways we finally found some thermostats for a Flathead, so begun the look for exhaust. It was easy to find they stock 10 foot lengths somewhere in Stoon, so I would have to come back and in a hour pick up my exhaust pipes.
Great that's ok BUT.
I came back a hour and a half later and found out exhaust ain't there apparently when they went to pick up parts including my 2 lengths of 10 foot pipe, they sent a car!! yes they found out today a car canot hold a 10 footpiece of pipe............ So another hour later I finally got my pipe.
That does suck but at least you got the pipe! what do they charge for that pipe anyways? Also when i get on a computer i need to ask you some stuff about flatheads i got a good lead about a rebuilt one.
It was 24 bucks for 10 feet of 2 inch pipe.
You got a lead on a rebuilt Flattie. I have one piece of advice Flatheads were the worst motor ever made, I suggest you buy it for cheap and then give it to me I mean a guy who wants it, no wait I mean me.
I`d like to make up some type of headers for the 53 M350. I`m not fussy what they look like or work as long as it makes for a quiet exhaust, I`m tired of the old stock cast iron manifolds that keep cracking.
A friend of mine bought afew do it yourself header kits and also said it wasn`t a bad way to go.
No thru the hood exhaust for the 53 or the 92 though, if any thing it might be stacks.
I knew there were some pretty custom two or three piece headers that bolted together for some tight fitting applications - correct me if I am wrong, but I think it was on some big block Mustangs (pre 1971).
