I had the stick-on style on my '01, and now have the clip-in style on my '05. I prefer the clip-ins because the self-adhesive tape on the ol' stick-ons started to separate. Sorry, but I don't recall the brand of either style. Recently installed the clip-ins on my wife's '07 EB Explorer, too.
I like them a lot because I'm a smoker, and I can open all the windows a bit for added ventilation when it's raining. They're also good for leaving the windows cracked a bit in the summer heat when parked outdoors.
Yes I have a set - bought them off ebay... I liked them when I [i]first/[i] got'em, but now I have lost the rear 2 vents. They fell off going down the road. I contacted the seller, but (shock) he was not willing to back him claims of 'They Will Never Fall Off'. So for now, I only have the front ones.
Mine are the stick on's, but they go in the track of the window and do not stick to the outer door frame. I like that feature because I've seen what can happen to pain when they other kind get ripped off.
I'm looking for another set, but I'm in no hurry - if you get some, let me know what you get and how you like/dislike the ones you buy.
I use the Weathertech ones, the slide into the window track, no tapes, no mess, no problems. about $100 for the set and worth every penny. Weathertech.com
i dont live far away so i was able to drive over and pick them up in person.
I always buy the cheap ventshade stick ons because the weathertechs are more expensive but I work on alot of vehicles that have the weathertechs and they are made much better then the cheapos
