4R55E or 5R55E? help
i just bought a ranger 95 with a 4.0 About 196xxx on it for $500. and it doesn't move.
the guy i bought it off of had the tranny replaced about 2 years ago(about 100k) and it just quit going. the engine runs, but the truck just doesn't move.
The overdrive light flashes when its running, you can put it in any gear and it wont move. i didnt get a chance to check fluid level but i will when i go pick it up. Is there any common problems with this tranny? and ideas what could be the problem?
i go pick it up on Saturday and i'll give it a better look over then but i have plans on parting it out. a tree jumped out in front of mine so im using body parts off of it to fix mine.
