Ok heres the deal, the motor is engaging, the fron hubs are engaged, but it feels like the t case is kicking in and out of 4 high when driving in the snow. When it kicks back in feels like its gonna throw ya off the road. I'm stumped, any ideas?
no grinding or any noises. i just had it on jack stands with all 4 wheels off the ground, locked in the t case and started turning a wheel by hand, i mad 2 revs with the wheel and no front drive shaft turning...on the 3rd rev the front shaft turned then quit again... do i have a gear with part of the teeth off? It drives perfect in 2 wheel drive

It's hard to judge it like that, because of the open front diff. To truly determine whether the TC is engaging properly, with it still on jack stands, start the truck and put it in "Drive". Then take note whether the front driveshaft is spinning. (Of course, you should take every pre-caution before you do this kind of thing!).
