Alright, here's what happened, I was towing a round bale with my truck and a friend. It was pulling just fine, it started to get just a little warm, and slightly above normal. All of the sudden my oil pressure drops, smoke comes PUKING whitish blue out of the tail pipe, and it won't idle. When it does idle, it does so, at about 100 RPM, it sounds like a John Deere. It changed within the blink of an eye, I just think something fell off, it wasn't driven hard at all. I changed out the spark plugs, and there was ALOT of oil on them, almost dripping, it also has a very hard, and loud knocking noise. I always that engines blew up when you red lined them, ran 'em without oil, and water, or something similar to that. Anyhow, please tell me it's not blown, it still starts ok, it just won't run unless you help it with the gas pedal, maybe vaccum hoses? Carb?
Thanks guys, I know I can count on you.

PS, It's the Heavy Duty 300, not the normal one, if that helps.
Could be lots of things, none of them good and few of them cheap to fix.
Check your compression. It's probably way off in 1 or more cyls, but in the outside chance that the bottom end is all right, you could get by with re-doing the head.
I think it's either an EGR valve, fuel filter, cat. converter, or the muffler. The EGR's diaphram looks bad, it still works but barely, it's going to be replaced. The fuel filter has never been changed on this truck in it's life, it's going to be replaced. The muffler has never been replaced on this truck either, it's being replaced with a 20 something inch glass pack. The Cat. converter is all original too, it's being replaced with a straight pipe.
It's going to be LOUD!

Thanks for the input, but the oil looks like new. If I had it really heated up, when hauling those bales, then yes you would be almost absolutely correct, but it just barely got above the middle. It was full of water, antifreeze, and a fresh oil change.
Anyhow thanks again
