This is my first diesel truck. It was a Lemon Law exchange for a 2006 V10 F350.
I now have 25,000 miles on it, and use it to pull an enclosed car trailer.
I am interested in putting a set of 4 or 5 inch Chrome Turnout exhaust stacks for my 2007 F-350 Ford Power Stroke 6.0.
I would also like a plate or box to cover the “Y” pipe in the bed.
I have been doing some research and done a search on the forum. It looks like Grand Rock produces a quality product (http://www.grpipes.com/powerflow.asp ).
I would like the height to be no higher the 84” from the ground as I want to still be able to go through the car wash. This is a 4X4 truck so the top of the tip will just be above the roofline.
I do not want LOUD. I had hopes of coming out of the stock muffler, doing a 180-degree turn, run back along the muffler to a point to go through the bed. The stock pipe is welded to the muffler so that will not work.
what was up with the V10 that she was lemoned? Stacks usually equate to straight pipes, unless you want to run dual mufflers in the stacks themselves then you'd quiet it just a little bit

NY has a very good lemon Law. Within the first 18,000 miles or two years of the purchase of a new vehicle, if you return to the dealership for repairs of the SAME problem OR the dealership has you vehicle for a total of 30 or more for any repairs you are entitled to a Lemon Law Replacement.
After four trips to the dealer and 45 days (I meet both requirements and you only need to meet one) It was descovered that the V-10 was sufering from

This concern typically lasts 15 seconds or less and is intermittent due to sensitivity with temperature and humidity.
This concern is under investigation by engineering. Monitor OASIS for updates Effective Date 07/19/2006"
Read that as no known cue.
I have read about the mufflers in the stacks and am going to follow up on that.
Thanks Glenn

Yesterday I went to a local truck supply store, they do all kinds of work on tri-axles and tractors mostly, and ordered the powerflow 4" to 5" kit, with Aussie stacks( which were $80 apiece) and the guy gave me a price of $425 for everything except shipping. He figured that wouldn't be more than 50 or 60, depending on who/how it gets shipped. So I'm looking at @ $500, which saved me @ a Benjamin the way I see it, and it will be here beginning of next week. I already have 4" turbo back and for now going straight-piped until I get hassled by Roscoe. Don't know if you have a similar place near you but it saved me $100!

Sounds good, but I guess I would be willing to pay the extra $100.00 for a complete, seamless, quality "bolt on" (not there is such a thing as a true bolt on) kit.
Thanks for the reply. Glenn
I have a 6 inch mitre kit from Grand Rock on my truck right now and I can tell you that it is very very very loud inside the cab. If you want to quiet it down, i'd suggest getting muffled stacks and keep the cat on the truck and if there is enough room, add a muffler underneath the truck. I don't know how much it would help but its gotta do something. Personally I like the noise, it lets me know whats going on with the truck. Pictures are in my gallery if you wanna see what mitres look like. I can also make a video of inside the cab for a sound clip if you'd like, just let me know.
i have 4 inch stacks on my 88, and the splitter is under the truck. the pipe comes off the down pipe, into a t pipe. then through a few 90's to get it to the bed and up to the stacks. this way i only loose about 6 inches of the front corners of the bed. with the single pipe up into the bed and the splitter and cross pipes in the bed, you will loose the whole front cargo area of the bed.

My fuel tank is under the left front corner of the bed. Nice idea though. Thanks Happy Holidays. Glenn

That's my thought as well. I did that to my 95 PSD, but I had the pipes run underneath the frame right under the doors so that I could avoid the fuel tank issue. Ground clearance wasn't an issue .

It IS a complete kit from Powerflow. You can see a picture of it on a red F250 that says Powerflow across the back window, probably on the same site you got that pic from, or I saw it on ebay under the seller Chromeroom. But I'm getting it thru a local big truck shop and it is @ $100 cheaper.
http://www.grpipes.com/powerflow.asp which appears to be the same kit you're talking about. I just went with Aussie stacks instead of the turnouts that your picture shows.
