They're not here yet, I'll let you know when I get them on
Thanks. I am to a point where I am looking at a 5 inch trunout daul stack system from Grand Rock. The stumbling point is noise level. I was considering internal mufflers in the stack but have been told they may not be quite enough.
I am pursuing a custom build muffler below the truck before the stacks. Glenn
Thats what I got, paid 469 shipped to truck parts place and I picked them up there, @ 20 min from my house. Will post pics HOPEFULLY when I'm done. Probably won't be Sat b/c I'll be out terrorizing for some time I'm sure!
That was what I was told also. Ordered last Friday, so this week and then next week. I hope to have it by Friday of next week so I can install over the weekend.

Alright boys, the stacks are on and they sound BAD-AS$$!!! Installation only took about 1.5 hrs once we laid out the hole and got everything mocked up. I'll have to take some pics today but I have to say I'm VERY pleased with them. As far as the noise level I was disappointed at first b/c it wasn't much louder than the 4" I took off, inside the garage, just revving it a little. Then we went to go pick up lunch and got on it hard a few times. It really sounds good when you shoot the coal to it, throaty I guess. Highway driving was barely noticeable, not loud at all unless you romp on it. Overall I'm very happy with the kit, the looks of them on the truck, and I think the only bad thing is my fuel mileage will be suffering for some time!

Can you e-mail me some pictures? Any suggestions for my upcoming install? Actually I am glad to hear they are not loud as I do not want load. Did you get the internal mufflers? autoshop@rochester.rr.com
Thanks Glenn
No, no muffler no cat just straight pipe from the turbo to the tips, no mufflers in the stacks. We used a 4 3/4 inch hole saw to drill the hole in the bed. Used a plasma cutter to notch the front bed support underneath, which you could avoid if you want to get a flex pipe @ 3-6 inches longer. But then the stacks would be back from the front wall of the bed and you might have to figure out how else to support the upright stacks, as there is an L shaped bracket that you bolt to the top rail in front of each stack and a band clamp to go around the stack and the bracket. My kit didn't come with ANY instructions, and I went to GR website and printed out the diagram of the kit and we mocked up the pipes, set the Y pipe in the bed, took some measurements, then drilled the big hole. Also if you don't have the 4" DP and you get the 3.5-4" that might give you enough to slide back if needed, all I did was unbolt the muffler stretch out the flex pipe, clamp it to the 90 & DP then clamp the 90 to the Y. Make sure you bring some wrenches on the road test as I had to re-attach the 90 into the bottom of the Y as I didn't tighten the band clamp enough. No big deal, but I went by what my buddies told me- Tight is tight, too tight's broken! BTW 2 of the guys helping me have PSD's and they BOTH want to do stacks on their trucks now! I'll take some pics when it gets a little lighter outside.- Tim
I was told that if you unbolt the front bed brace an flip it around you do not have to cut it??? I look forward to seing the pictures. I will be taking step by step pictures to develope an instruction sheet for the people I bought the kit from.
I have RoadRunner so bo not be afraid to send lots of pictures.

Don't know, didn't look to see. I don't haul anything except my quad in the bed so it wasn't really an issue for me. I'm camera to posting pics- challenged and I need to delete some of the pics on the camera before I can take more to post. I have to check with the "boss" and see which ones can be deleted though, if you know what I mean. So I'll do my best but it might not be until later today b/c when everyone wakes up we're going out to breakfast.
