How do I adjust the fast idle?
83 f150 302. I got the choke working right ( i think) this morning but the fast idle doesn't kick in. It will die when you put it in gear. How do I adjust it?

Look at this link, at the very bottom. You will see a "fast idle adjusting screw" This is on the passenger side of the carb. If you look a little farther up the diagram, and a little bit to the right, you will see the "fast idle cam". This is a little half moon piece with steps on it. The fast idle screw rests against these steps when the choke is on.
