It's idling at 2K? That's a problem...how's your gas mileage? Could be a vacuum leak.

Mine idles at a rock solid 5-600 on the gauge.

Its 15-20 mpg depending on the type of driving, the worst weve seen is like 13.5 in town...

That's low...I think you might have a vacuum leak somewhere. My old OHV 4.0L got 18/24 with my suicidal idiotic horsepower-filled driving.

Well the 3.slow isn't known for mileage...they suck gas. I can't say much about the new 4.0L SOHC in the Explorer...I get 15.5/18 so far...yay

I used, 1 5/8" fine thread woodscrews. I screwed through the headliner and into the metal framing of the roof, not the top roof skin. 2 of those baby's and my cb dont move at all, i just put the mike up between the roof and the sun visor, keeps in handy and the cord out of the way. This was a 95 f-250. Its right above the rearview mirror. There should be a metal trim piece between the windshielf and the headline you can pull that down, and pull the first couple screws out of the trim above the pasenger and drive windows. That should give you enough slack to pull the headliner down to see exactly where you want to put those screws out. Best of luck to ya.

later,
Don
