welcome home Cookie and Merry Christmas..sorry to hear about your truck..that sucks.... I have a grill that you are more then welcome to have.. it is chrome with a painted black center.. it was painted with a brush.. I thought it look like crap up close (brush lines in it )..but you don't see it standing away from it..I was going to sand it down and repaint it..just haven't done it yet..sounds like you need it more then me.. there is nothing else wrong with it.....give me a yell if interested....

I would just like to say thanks to the moderators on this site. I have read some on other forums, but I have NEVER joined one prior to FTE. Mostly because there isn't any other site that I have been on that has so many great people willing to help and not be rude to the new people that join. I have already learned an astonishing amount of information that is invaluable and wouldn't be available from my local Ford dealer. Keep up the great work!!

Some automotive paint supply stores carry spray cans of trim paint specifically for grills, rubber trim etc. When I bought my truck, it had some stains on the painted portion of the chrome grill. I sanded with about a 320 grit (I think), masked it off, primed with spray can, scuffed with green pad, sprayed the paint.....LOOKED AS GOOD AS FACTORY !! These colors are usually called some variation of "argent". If you choose to use Ron's grill, take your grill to the paint store for a match-up. Good luck!

I have used the report post button several times and let the mods handle it. I do this for two reasons. One, that's the only thing I can do. Two, the offending user may have had multiple offenses before that someone is keeping tabs on it might be time for a little time out for the offending user.

Glad you're back from your trip, Scott!

Been a pretty busy/wild Christmas for myself, too.

Scott and I actually have it easy... I can't think of any other forum here on FTE that is so close-knit and well-behaved as you gents and gals. Like a bunch of friends, it seems. A little scuffle now and then, but we get over them quickly here, huh?

Hope you all had a good Christmas and a happy New Year to come... I'm looking forward to New Year's Eve, myself.

The old "exclamation point button" is definitely the best option, because if both Scott and myself are away on vacation, asleep, or passed out drunk (jk! or am I? ), the SuperMods or Admins are always diligent to step in and lend a hand. But like I said, it seems to be so rarely needed as it is... you gang are really a great bunch.
