AVM Hub Install not working
99 Ranger with PVH hubs not engaging. Purchased the AVM manuals from Tellico, very simple install, BUT, one side doesn't seem to be engaging. I put on the right side first and since the instructions tell you to put them on in the locked position I turned the wheel assembly and the axle turned confirming "lockup", installed left side but when rotating wheel assembly the axle does not turn, removed hub and checked if it was engaging and disengaging with turn of selector and it does. Turned axle by hand and could see splined axle shaft turning, reinstalled hub in lock position but still no "lockup", test drive on icy drive confirms front axle not engaged. Called Rugged Ridge who distributes to Tellico and they suggested to swap hubs side to side and see if it still happens. Any suggestions? Transfer case seems to be engaging, can hear audible click from below as well as low lock drops gear ratio so assume all is well there.
