Maybe one of the hangars (sp?) that hold the exhaust up has popped out of the rubber keeper. It might be banging on the frame...

Good luck & Happy Holidays

Ummm Any news yet? It would suck to have one of our members stuck out there. Especially trying to get somewhere for Christmas.

Me too... unless "early" to him is my girlfriend's definition... that'd mean right about now.... LOL

I'm guessing that he found something loose on the exhaust as many mentioned, fixed it, and go rolling. Who wants to be driving on Christmas Eve???

My g/f lives down a 2mile dirt road. Washing a black truck is pointless until after I leave. Luckily there's a drive-thru washer on the way home that fits my truck (BARELY - 35's wouldn't!), does a great job, and is only $6!!!

That's the first thought that came to my mind.
After a long drive, pulling hard and working, sometimes there will be a slight engine miss too.
Even with brand new injectors installed. Been there done that.

I don't think you have any worries. I heard all kinds of new noises when I first freed the exhaust up. If you did have a problem, revs would just make it worse, not make it go away. And I just can't get in my head what "fluids mixing in a glass container" would even sound like.

I agree, I pondered that for awhile well at least 3 glasses of bourbon worth pondering.

In CA!!!

Thanks for all the replies. I did check a few things on the exhaust and the problem disappeared, I drove to CA Monday night. It has got to be the exhaust’s 4 inch down pipe.... I will have a mechanic look over it later this week. Like suggested, if it were to be an engine internal problem it would get worst as I rev the engine, mine wasn’t the case.

Here are other problems that I had during the trip:

<!--[if !supportLists]--><!--[endif]-->1)]I rotated the front tire just before the trip (right to left and left to right) and the truck now pulls to right pretty hard. The steering if offset, about 5 to 7 degrees to right.

<!--[if !supportLists]--><!--[endif]-->2)Adding to above, if I were to drive in the truck lane uphill, the truck would pull every which way and had zero response 5-7degree on either side of the steering tilt. On the flat it ran as above. The tires are running 60PSI in front….

<!--[if !supportLists]--><!--[endif]-->3)FTE website is popping a database error message every once in a while…could have been internet connecting at the motel, not sure.

Was the steering offset prior to rotating tires?
Was excess play there before the rotation?
Was it pulling before.
The error message is getting all of us. Something in the server I think.

No the steering was not offset before, it was dead on!!!had zero play.
However it used to pull a little to right but not as hard as it pulls to left now. I thought rotating(L->R, R->L) would solve the problem.
