hi after finally fixing the thermostat and water issue with my dads truck we still cant get any heat in the cab. when the heat is turned on the a/c compressor is randomly cycling on and off we tried replacing the switch in the cab but nothing changed any ideas?
"Actually, FLOOR, PANEL, and OFF. See the Owner's manual"
Note any possible confusion w/the 'PANEL & FLOOR' position, where AC can run. Only the FLOOR or PANEL positions provide heated air w/o AC. Then cab heat is adjusted by mixing in fresh outside air in FLOOR or PANEL-the heater core should circulate hot coolant whenever the motor runs. The other positions mix heat & AC.
I believe there's also a low temp limit switch that cuts out AC below a certain temp.
Try switching the temp **** for the fan ****. The ***** tend to crack and split, then spin on the temp control shaft. Results in the temp not actually changing. if this doesn't help then go for the blend door. Good luck!
