Unassembled auto hub *pic*

It may be too late, but how did you get the locking **** off and diaphragm out?
What does the back of the locking **** look like?
What seals the locking **** to the hub?
Where did the flat metal washer come from, that is to the upper right of the diaphragm iin the picture?
I see 2 big snap rings in the picture. I know one is on the back side of the hub and must be removed to get the gears and stuff out, but where did the other one come from?

I'll see if I can explain it at all.
You have to work it from the back (its pretty straight forward for this part). Unassemble everything till you get to the rubber diaphragm. Now when you get to the diaphragm, you have to pull it down to help release the dial. To remove the dial, it has to line up with the three tabs on the hub then you can pull it straight out. Unfortunately, I just finished putting it back together.
And the other retaining ring is holding the metal washer which is holding the diaphragm in place. Hopefully this clears up some questions, obviously I'm not the best to explain things.
When I pull it apart again one day, I'll get more pics for ya.

I've had them apart down to the diaphragham, just couldn't figure out how to get the diaphragham and dial out. Since I just had them out a couple weeks ago and they seem to be working smoothly, it will probably be a while till I tear into them again. I may see if I can find an auto-locker that someone isn't using anymore, who has maybe switched to Warns, and tear into that one.
