In my quest for stock cam specs for the 300 I6 I found this site with all the camshaft data for various engines. For the 300I6 they list 6 hydraulic cams and 4 solid, ranging from moderate to enhance mileage and torque (rpm idle to 3500) up to explosive power (3500 to 7000) plus custom grinds. They are all listed at www.crower.com and the 300 I6 is at: http://www.crower.com/46.pdf
Still don't have the stock spec though.

Thanks, The 1990, since it is EFI, probably is the same as the 95. However, the spec I am after is valve timing--degrees before/after top center/bottom center, which I have from an early 70's auto engine manual for the 240 I6, but I notice my '84 truck engine manual does not list that spec. Guess I am going to a lot of work for curiousity, but its kinda like love. When you are in love with someone, you want to know all about them. Guess I love this big-block 300 cubic inch torque monster of an engine. My truck may not be very fast, but it sure feels good to floor it and feel all that raw torque unwinding underneath you. (I know I'd love a 351 V8 too, but something about an inline engine--must be the simplicity.) Remember the bumper sticker:

"A man and his truck: it's a beautiful thing!"

Have you seen of heard of anybody using a crower in a 300? I have looked at (and seen posts about) crane, clifford and comp but not crower. Have to add them to list!!

Thanks!

Check out Isky too. Their 252H looks like a real winner for an otherwise dead stock engine.
