Ahh, Shane...didn't realize this was your screen name
I've ran the Regen-off 150RWHP tune now for about 1600 miles with the truck fully straight-piped. Mileage is up signficantly.
Have been beta-testing the 200RWHP tune for the past two weeks- thus far, not the slightest issue other than one harsh downshift when the transmission was still adapting.
Overall, other than warranty concerns, these trucks have so far proven themselves more reliable with modifications than the previous generations. I have been pounding the crap out of it for some time now.
hi mat this is stanly harrington waiting for the tune an my f550 . Cant wait to test it out. I have the flashpaq now, it sounds that your tunes have more hp then the standard flashpaq is it true. thanks
I hvae been running the kemperformance dpf delete w/flashpaq 50 hp tune since 9/10/07 7700 mi. It works awesome. mpg is empty 10 city 13 hwy towing 8 city 8 hwy. 7k lb trailer. No regens is great, especially towing on hills. never shifts!
Do you do the exhaust on the truck? If so I am curious as to how mean it sounds. I am hoping to do the flash to eliminate the regen and run 4" all the way back.
This DPF delete tune from a couple of manufactures sounds really great, but even after you sign the "use for off road only" certificate... going back to stock seems to be a problem. Replacing the deleted pipe seems easy enough to do, but what about reprograming back to stock, will the dealer notice that is was reprogrammed??

If your tuner reprograms it right, probably not, but they probably will notice that you stuck the DPF system back on the downpipe, and had the sensors removed at one point. I was reading that someguy had his whole warrenty voided because he put on a gear vendo'rs overdrive on his F-450
I saw that bigredf450 guy too. It's too bad you can't even drive your truck anymore w/o politics. If I had to drive mine w/the dpf I'd sell it and buy a tundra. That's from a guy who's only ever driven fords. 24 of them in 19 years of driving. I guess I'm willing to void my warranty.
yes, it does do the trans. Really well too. my only beef(I hope you can say beef on this forum, I think it's run by a bunch of nuns) is that it shifts into 5th a little too soon when towing. other than that acceleration is really good on the lowest setting (50hp) when towing in town and on high speed grades. On I-70 in central utah there is grade about 2mi long pretty steep, with my 7k lb wells cargo my job 1 w/dpf would only pull it at 35mph with the superchip, now I can pull it at 75 easily. Huge air sound!
