96 F-150 I6 Stalling
My f-150 i6 stalls when braking to a stop. the truck will idle rough then die. when it takes a few seconds to restart, when it does restart grayish smokes emerges from the exhaust pipe. it happens no matter whick tank i use and only after coming to a stop. it does not matter if the air cond. is on. if anybody can help me I would be very grateful.

It kinda sounds like you have a vacuum leak ? If you idle the engine & depress the brake pedal does the rpm change ? What kind of maintenance sched has the truck had ? Any other driveability troubles ? Is it a manual or auto trans ?
