i just put 31x10.50 tires on my truck with a 300 and it has dropped in the power catogory and i was wondering how to get more power and torque so it is the same as with the stock tires.

Assuming by your id that you have a 1968 truck there are quite a few mods that can be done. And a lot of threads on this subject.
Best thing to do is go back through the threads so you can get specifics and be better able to decide what you want.

Some basic things to do:
upgrade to electronic/multiple spark ignition and high voltage coil
clifford or offy intake with holley 2/4 bl or carter style 4

header/split cast iron exhaust with high flow muffler/s

change the cam

head work

Happy hunting!!

Without extensive motor mods, you may want to upgrade your gears to give you the same as stock performance.
