I just got off the phone with a guy from Banks. HE said to expect products to start coming out middle of next year.
I asked him why their so late compared to the other companies. He said that they are so slow at coming out with things for the 2008s, because they are testing the truck for many(I think he said 70,000) miles to see if the chips... will give a power gain but not damage the trucks, unlike others who whiped up a huge power gain months after the 2008s came out, without doing any major testing.
A few people on another forum that called Banks were told about the same thing. They were also told that Banks products for the 6.4L are currently pending Ford factory warranty and emissions approval.

well lets see... my opinion on banks....good stuff. not near as much power as the other companies, and are way over priced. so there. who cares!! theres someting better out there. no, im kiddin. they seem to know diesels really well. im interested to see what they come out with.
Suck! OOOps I am sorry I thought this was one of those finish the sentence games.... BLAH BLAH BLAH! Banks will ***** foot around and put out about a 25Hp box and the masses will buy it because its Banks and pay $500 more than they can buy something 500 times better!
I may accept the price and the small power gaines if in fact they increase fuel mileage and keep the factory warrenty in tact which most of the others do not.
I have a 2001 7.3L Ford Turbo Diesel with 80,000 miles. I occasionally pull a 9,500 lb 5th wheel Rv. I'd like to know what is the best and safest chip to put into it mainly for better gas mileage. Anybody?
This is in the wrong forum, ask in the 7.3L forum and im sure youll get tons of responses. I would love to give you advice just dont have any for that yr model.

Couldn't agree more. I'd also soner pay $500 more now knowing I'm covered than $7000 down the line.
I just ordered their exhaust kit and intake for my 08. Name says a lot, and when you see the dealer installing their products that speaks for its self IMO.
Not that I'm bashing Banks, I have their exhaust right now and have had some of their other products in the past. It is good stuff but it is pricey for what you get.
I have seen the dealer putting all kinds of crap on vehicles, that does not mean it is good to me.
Why would it take them three years to come up with something? They had one of these engines from Ford a year before it came out. It didn't take them this long to come out with Viagra!!!!

What we do here is make absolutly sure our tuning systems don't hurt the DPF and other related parts. Rather then race to be the first on the market, and basicly force you to void your warranty and violate federal law by removing your DPF, we want to make sure your expensive DPF will last as long as the automaker intended. For example we are the only company to use a specialized exhaust sampling system to not only measure the amount of soot from the engine, but actually measure the particle size. We know exactly what's coming out of the engine where as most others seem to just count the regen cycles. However, it takes time to develop not only the system itself but also the testing equipment. The tuners are basicly done and we are currently "tooling up" to get them into production. I'll post up more info on them when they come out. Also......
Viagra was orginally discovered in 1991 by accident but wasn't released to the public until 1998. 7 years later.
