Anyone ever repalced factory door panels with sheet aluminum or stainless? Just curious. I am planning on ripping mine out and replacing with some type of metal so I can wash the mud off the doors instead of staining up a $200 set of door panels. Any comments or helpful ideas? Thanks
buy some used ones if there is a problem. What I dont understand is that if you are getting mud on them what is the problem with washing them other than the carpet found on the bottoms and the door pocket/ take the carpet off.
I had a set of aluminum panels on my 87 samuri, a company was selling them so it was just a bolt on. The only reason I got them was because I needed new panels and I couldn't find any stockers. They were flat panels so it worked out well.
Hey, I like that idea. You could wash the inside of the truck the same way you do the outside! A bucket of soapy water and a strong stream from a garden hose. Get rid of any carpets so you can blast the dirt from the floors, too!
