HEUI

Pros- Unique and mysterious, engine can't be hurt by running out of oil, Larger motors (IH 530) use same injectors (performance gains!)
Cons- Unique and mysterious, expensive injectors, limited performance with current technology, limited RPM range due to HP oil, extra places to leak oil

Common Rail
Pros- easier to control (programming), less complex injectors, Much more power just with programming (longer pulse width), once PW is too larger Injectors only need Nozzle mods to fuel more, More precise control for emissions and power,

Cons- A truck with Common rail is too new for me to afford!!, easy to add power therefore easier to break trannies!, They don't make a 7.3 PSD common rail kit YET!

I love my HEUI PSD but common rail is where its at for the future!

And common rail engines sound like a gas motor, very quite.
