Bouncing F150
Hey guys I have a problem with my F150. Since I had a autoshop install 4.10s on my truck, every time I maintain speeds through the range of 35-40mph my truck feels like its bouncing. If I let go of the gas or accelerate slowly through this mph range I don't feel the bouncing. To fix this problem I have rotated and balanced my tires and even had my driveshaft rotated and balanced. U-joints are solid! Problem still remains! A mechanic told me this is due to harmonic distortion from the high rpms of the driveshaft and if I apply a hose clamp at the rear section of the driveshaft the bouncing will go away. This guy test drove my truck and felt the same thing. I applied the hose clamp at the very end of the driveshaft on the differential side. It actually helped by problem hasn't gone away completely. Could this be the result of a bent axle? Any ideas as to what is going on?!
