I am looking at an high boy on ebay well it says it is a highboy from the pics it is hard to determine it is a 77 f250 but it doesn't have the gas tank behind the seat and it says it is a 351 windsor I thought all high boys had the tank in the cab. any input
Yea I couldn't tell from the pics about the tcase or drive shafts it does have a tank in the back but the rear blocks look short and the front springs don't have to much of an arch to them. I am thinking it might be a 77.5 but did they have a 77 grill or a 78-79 grill
Well, then again, the dude can't spell too good and also says that it is an LXT. Not to be confused with XLT, as found in Ford pickups, so, it may just be a 351m which he has confused for a 351w. I couldn't tell, because their are no engine shots. The transfer case however, it's too hard to tell at the camera angle. I didn't see the strut rod on the backside of it, and it looks like it has a crossmember for the tranny. I would say that it is probably not a highboy. Just my 2 cents.

That looks like a 77.5 to me. Front springs do not have enough leafs, nor do they have enough arch. That does not look like a divorced case, and those appear to be 3 inch wide rear springs.
Those longer bolt on style front spring hangers that can barely be seen in the front view would also indicate a 77.5 to 79 style front end.
As I recall the 77 truck still had a round bumpstop for the front spring, and not the triangular one found in the 77.5 to later 79 trucks.
Yeah, that looks like a 77.5
