Idle Problem

Is it possible that the fact that I have my a/c compressor unplugged could be causing me idle problems when the defrost is on.I can't sem to find my ols thread so I had to start over. Also does anyone know where I can find the part # for the gear indicator on line for the auto transmission. Mine has stopped working due to the little wire breaking and despite my attempt to repair it has become unservicable. the # on the part must be out of date becuase nothing come up for it thanks for any help

I also run my ac comp unplugged in the winter, only because i need to service the system. i have had no idle issues. As far as the part number cannot help you there.
