4 wheel drive problem
I have the hubs in the Auto position.
I turn the switch into 4wd....it goes in to 4wd....i drive for about 30 secs and next thing i know the rear end is sliding out on me! Back to 2 wd in a snow storm on a wicked hill! The light is still on but not in 4wheel. I turn the **** back to 2wheel and then back to 4wheel and its in again....another 30 secs and its out again....
ARGGGG....only in a wicked canada snow storm!
Anybody have this happen?
Tomorrow i will try it in the Lock position and i dont think i will have a problem.
I will look for wires loose and any vac leaks also.
Im thinking the vacuum solenoid......?

Well sounds like the typical ESOF hubs problem to me. Easiest way to fix this is to get ur @$$ out of the warm cozy truck and manually move the selector on the hub to "Lcoked" if this selector is seized, which is common, try some PB blaster to free it up. Prolly wont work...
ANyhow, probelm is best corrected with a set of Warn 11690 manual locking hubs. Once they are locked in, they are in. None of this in and out crap.
I considered going this route when I found out my hubs were seized when I bought my truck, but I went back to the dealer and he cut me a sweet deal on a pair of brand new factory hubs for the front end (only one was seized, but the other one was tight). I didn't have a problem paying half price for both and getting new ones that I put in myself. The guy who owned it before never turned the hubs regularly and they had seized up - didn't notice when I bought the truck because I just turned the hubs on one side - the side that was tight, but not seized.
