I know its kind of off topic, I posted in paint &body work but I'll try here too. I got some scratches in my truck, really crappy looking, not deep though. I see all the stuff at Autozone, but what really works the best?
If the scratches aren't too deep, use the tried-and-true old-fashioned method...a little bit of rubbing compound and a lot of elbow grease. Follow up with a good wax and buff.
Sometimes just waxing will remove minor scratches.
There is also a colored wax with a tube of coloring (like lipstick) that is used to fill the scratches and then use the colored wax. I've used it on my Harley for years and it works great as long as you don't try to use it as body filler.
It's called "Turtle Wax Color Cure" But...it just comes in the basic colors but any parts house should have it.
You might concider using the "White" rubbing compound first as suggested before this reply then follow up with this wax.
a dealer grade buffing compund used with a terry cloth works wonders, i have used it on my trucks after 4 wheeling trips when the trree branches did their worst and it really takes some deep scratches out, as long as its not enough to catch a fingernail on you are usually ok

If you can feel it catch with your finger nail...Too deep...Won't rub out..
You will be able to feel if they are" on" the surface,, those will rub off...
