Removing scratches

Just put some nice lookin scratches on my truck from a pricker bush. Anyways, I see all the stuff at Autozone for gettin scratches out, but what REALLY workks the best??

Most of the products you see at Autozone or on tv are nothing more than colored wax's that will hide the scratches, not really remove them from the finish. If you're doing it by hand or with a buffer, I always recommend 3M products. Depending how how bad the scratches are, you should be ok with using PerfectIt-II for working those out, if done with a polishing pad on a buffer you can wax right after using the compound without the worries of swirlmarks. 3M also makes a product called swirlout if you get any.

I used a product by Meguiars called ScratchX. It worked pretty good for me on the small scratches making them no longer visible. I don't reccommend this product on fairly deep scratches though because it didn't do much but I don't think that is what it was probably meant for. But if the scratches fairly light, ScratchX would probably work for you.
