My truck gets pretty disgusting in wet weather and this time of year I cant wash it as much as I usually do. So Im thinking at least for the Winter get some flaps. I have those modest flares on my 2 tone SD so that has to fit into the choice. Does Ford offer anything or can someone tell me about something they have or saw and liked. Links would be great as well. Thanks Peter
Nice truck Sayonara, I have the same colors except its a 250 with Clubcab and the same shortbed. I really thought it would be a color that hid the dirt, boy was I wrong.
The Ford moulded mud flaps are popular but they will not fit the 2008 Lariat with the moulded plastic fender lips. I then purchased the straight flat ones with the Ford Logo. I asked the service department to install them. He did the front ones with no problem and when he tried to install the rear mud flaps he found there was no area on the inside of the wheel arch to attach them other than along the fender lip. I didn't want a front flap only truck so I asked him to install the rear flaps along the moulded lip and then remove them. I drove the truck home and I fashioned a 3/4 inch wide metal strap to hold the rear mud flaps stiff from near the frame. They are now attached along the moulded lip and attached to the truck frame
I cannot understand that Ford hasn't offered a new mud flap for the 2008 Lariat trucks with the moulded lips. The Lariat has been on the market for a year now. I do not recommend the Ford flat ones for the 2008 Lariat model.
Lastly, the mud flaps work very well keeping mud off the running boards and no stone chips under the fender behind the rear wheels.
DURAFLAP is the only choice. super great quality. they are a little expensive, but well worth it. especially since you just spent over $40k for the truck.
yeah, and if you order the drilless duraflaps, the install is super easy. they come with all hardware needed to install them. just line the holes up and attach.

I bot my mud flaps (HUSKY) at this store: www.creativecoatingz.com
I'm looking at a different grille they ordered in for me next week. AND, I'm first on the list for a F-350 model when they arrive.
In Macon, GA they do an excellent job. I was referred to them by the Ford garage.
