TJ, what do you mean this? I've never been sure if mine is working properly.
When I step on the brake pedal to slow down, the engine RPM drops to idle almost immediately. Is that what the EBPV does? Is mine working properly?
What you describe is normal. The Torque converter unlocks when the brakes are pushed resulting in a loss of any engine braking. If you do a EBPV brake you can make it work when you push the brake but you also add a TC lock switch to it so you can use your service brakes and EBPV brake at the same time.
When I said "if he wants the EBPV to work normally" I meant working as in from the factory to close while cold at idle in conjunciton with exhuast brake functions
