I've had pretty decent service them but haven't dealt with them recently... sounds like they've gone downhill.
They replaced my yellowed clear cab lights with new ones that are holding up just fine and gave me a good deal on a 3rd brake light for the hassle... I've had it over a year and its been working fine for the most part, just one of the white LEDs is out.
Maybe they had a batch of defective LED's. Mine are working fine and I'll be doing more business with RECON. Talk to Heath and see if you can get your issues resolved.
superdutyfreak, I did give them a chance that was exactly 1 year ago. several emails to them and stylin concepts. Not one reply. I bought there product through stylin and it did not last 1 week
This is why consumers should stay from companies like this. That warranty says it all, if they were using quality products they would have no problem standing behind them. There are lots of poor quality led lights on the market now. Look for companies that will stand behind their product!
i too had a problem with the cargo lights within 2 months of getting the 3rd brake light. i was able to get it swapped after sending them a picture of the lights out and making a phone call.
I've got Recon smoke clearance light covers and smoke side mirror/marker lights. Also had the third brake light but it failed to work properly and they refused to take it back or exchange it. That was an expensive mistake and the last product I ordered from Recon.
The side mirror/marker light fit is poor and the passenger side marker light has failed. The clearance light covers are great and the only product I would ever recommend from Recon.
my side mirror lights fit poorly also. just not tight enough and not sure its worth my time to adjust them. the mirror covers are brand new also, dont ask, met a fence while plowing and broke the other removing it to install the recon lights.
Z71burb your issues were still within the warranty period. mine is past it by a long shot. to me this product was not abused at all, i got it last winter went out and installed it. thats it, it has not been hit or abused. to me it should last alot longer than 1 year, but you live and learn. no more products from recon, and if anyone asks i will tell them about my experience.
