I know I have a bunch of topics, but this is my first truck, let alone my first diesel. That said I have another stupid question, where is the CDR valve and what does i do?

It allows blowby gasses to be drawn into the intake manifold to be burned in the engine at lower engine speeds to keep them from venting into the atmosphere, at higher RPMS, the vacuum of the engine closes the valve to prevent excess oil vapour from being drawn into the intake causing a runaway.
If the diaphram is torn or sludged up where it stays open at high RPMs, it can cause excess oil consumption.

Also, It should be cleaned everyother oil change. I just cleaned mine and I dont get the nice film of oil in my intake anymore. Youll be amazed at how much crud comes out of that tiny little tuna can
