has anyone heard from him? i havnt seen any posts and i assume he is without power. does anyone have his cell number? if so please pm me with it. id like to check and make sure everything is good his way. i might just drive out there tonight.

Thanks for the concern Matt. I've been busy keeping the fireplace burning and hauling wood for the elderly neighbor. We lost power on monday night and haven't gotten it back yet. Our office also didn't get power back until today, so I couldn't get online to check in.
We are doing ok as long as I keep feeding wood to the fireplace. I've also kept busy assisting an elderly neighbor with keeping her fireplace stocked with wood.

Thanks a bunch all for the concern. We're doing OK and hope to have electricity soon. It is amazing how spoiled we get and take it for granted.

Thanks Rollie, I borrowed one from Scott and I'm hoping they will have power up again tonight. The trucks are in the area and they had the one major line that was down back up.

WooHoo, the power came back on after lunch today. No more chopping wood and still freezing.
I'd get a generator, but I visited with the neighbor lady who has lived out there for 40 years and she said this is only the second time the power has been out for more than a day or two.

My son in law bought one and I used it for a day after his power come on. Nice thing about the generator is that it has two 20 amp 110 circuits and one 30 amp 220. We have already been talking about how it my be handy when we go off roading and break something.
