Miles to empty changes just like average fuel mileage displayed, based on load, engine speed, throttle postion etc. When you get to 1/4 tank on the gauge fill up as it is hard on the injectors if you run the truck empty. With a 29 gallon tank 420 is about right at just over 14mpg, at 60 miles left you have only about 4 gallons in the tank and this can be hard for the fuel pump to pickup consistantly.

thanks! i dont usually run till emty just odd after they replaced my fuel pump and a few injectors the low fuel light doesnt come on anymore but its not that big of a deal.

Take it back and tell them to fix it!Injectors and a fuel pump should have no effect on the light unlesss something wasn't plugged in

Just noticed in your sig you are running a tuner. The tuner will mess up the miles to empty reading as well.
