To chip or not chip.
Witch Diablo chip would be the best to install. I like the shift on the fly feature to give more power just for the long steep grades.
I have a 99 F-250 Super Duty with a V-10. I bought the truck used with 48,000 miles. The only two things I have done so, installed a K&N air filter and had Gear Vendors installed. This improved my mileage from 13.5 to 17.8 MPG, running empty. Have not pulled my trailer enough since the install to have any number.
Do not know what rear end I have, but before the GV install at 65 MPH I would be tacking about 1900.
When I am loaded, pulling the trailer 7900 lb Truck 7100lb 98 Gallon Transfer flow fuel tank (will be installed in 4 weeks) 800 lb (with fuel) and another 800 lb motorcycle and other camping gear. This bring me to a total weight of 16600 lb. On flat to mild inclines the truck does fine, it is when I am pulling a 6% grade that it really slows down.
Sorry about the length, but trying to get the info in to be able to pull from the vast knowledge on this forum.
Thanks for your help in advance.

Both programs have the rev limiter and speedo fixes. I have noticed some fuel milage gains but the main thing I like is it just peps the truck up real nice.
Superchips has also come out with a programmable micro tuner. You call the retailer and they program it to your specifications. If I remember correctly it can be set up with three programs in the tuner. You just plug it in and change to whatever program you want to run that day. That way you wouldn't have to chip it you could just program it and go.
