Go out and take the battery cable off.
Pull the headlight switch **** all the way out, then reach around under the dash and feel the smooth side of the switch, opposite the wiring plug. You should feel a little button. Push down on this button, and then pull on the ****. The whole **** and shaft will come out.
For the wiper ****, here's a picture. This is not easy to do.

Someone should tell the automakers to quit dressing up the interiors with the look of wood....sounds like blah gray is hot this year!!

Ok I got them both off and got it painted today. Looks 100x better to me.
thegray is dust. Didnt have time to clean everything else because it got dark on me.
