Hmm,
I thought I said use an AOD.....in a previous post....
You have a couple of choices.
I don't know that much about the AOD. I think it has something like a 0.67 OD but I don't know about lockup torque converter.
You could also get an E4OD(for a 302/351) that should bolt right up to a 300.....That will have a lockup converter. It's a 0.71 OD.
Also if you get a fuel injected 300 it should have a computer that will control the E4OD.

and I agree.
The C6 is not a good auto for the 300. IMO, these engines are better in front of a manual tranny.

The AOD doesn't use a lockup converter as such it's more a direct drive. It has 3 input shafts and one is splined directly to the front of the torque converter.
