Loud engine noise?
Just got my 6.4 two weeks ago and have about 600 on her. Absolutely love this truck... except for this terrible, ruff noise coming from the motor. It started at about 400 miles and doesn't seem to be getting better. I took my truck in today. They heard the noise, then ran tests on the engine. Engine is fine but they didn't know what the noise was from. The only answer they gave me was that it "could" be in Regin. For four days? this answer seems odd and most likely a total cop-out, because it has shown no signs of being in Regin- no high Idle, no loss of power, ect. I'm going to call the service guy tomorrow and see what my next options are.
I have also looked at the powerstroke bulliten, but nothing seems to fit.
Anyone experience anything like this yet? The noise sounds something similar to some sort of manifold exhaust leak. Don't know, I'm not a mechanic.
