Insurance

I just got the quote for insurance, I'm 16 with no record, and I get the good grade discount and I will be based off of a 86 taurus. My parents told me that it will be $150 per month, doesn't that seem a little high?? What do you guys pay if you don't mind me asking.

$150 a month so, that's $1800 a year. Not too bad. The year of the vehicle (or the vehicle at all for that matter) doesn't really have an affect on anything. I switched from a '93 Chevy to an '01 F250 and my insuance went up $85 a year. All they care about is the fact that you are 16 and just learning how to drive. Here in the wonderful state of Massachusetts I paid $2500 a year until I turned 19 and a half. That was hard to pay when I was 16 just learning to drive. I've never had a ticket or an accident. After 3 years of good driving, I just got a reduction to $1370 a year. Just under a 50% reduction. I'll take it. I think you are doing pretty well. Keep you record clean and you'll be doing better.

I'm 19 and right now i pay about $110 a month for full coverage. I have nothing on my record also. When i was 16 driving an 84 Chevy (nice truck) it was about $130 with full coverage, the good student and some other discount.

I'm 22 with a spotless record, I currently pay 27 bucks a month. The cost is for liability only on my 86 F150, and undriven vehicle coverage for my 82 F100 and 96 F150, it covers any damage as long as the trucks aren't being driven.

In summer it'll jump back up to around 75 bucks a month when I start driving all 3 again, that'll cover liability on the 82 and 86, also full coverage on the 96. I get mine so cheap because of a multi vehicle discount, and also because my home is on the same plan.

Tim Mcgraw67 you payed more to insure your dodge then I pay to insure 3 trucks and my house, yes I'm 22 and I own a house.

Last year i was paying $30 for 92 f150 which is under my moms name and 30 for my 66 mustang which under my name. But then this is just minmiuin coverage. I also got the grades deal and they based it off my GPA and i have 3.1. Also I've never been caught speeding yet and never been in accident. So that kind of helps. But on the other hand my 99 malibu is like $60 a month just for minmuin.

When I first got my truck in '05 I was paying $270 a moth for six months. Then, it dropped to $215. Now I'm down to $135 this is still with the same insurance company and full coverage. I was 18 when I got my truck and now I'm 20 soon to be 21. It's under my parents' name for the insurance as i get the good student discount and couple others.
